During the first rehearsal of a band he formed with a childhood friend in his first year of high school, he was struck by a sudden realization: “This is it!” He resolved, “I’m definitely going to become a professional,” and moved to Tokyo two days after graduating high school with absolutely no plans. While attending a music school with no real plans beyond just trying it out, he was approached by a producer from a major agency who told him, “I’ll take you under my wing—come work with us.” As a result, he began voice training at that agency. He continued voice training for several years, but the agency’s approach didn’t suit him, so even though they were already in the production phase, he left the agency to pursue his own band activities.
Through a series of coincidences, in 1994, he formed ZNX with former ZIGGY guitarist Munehito Matsuo, and they made their major-label debut with “From Your Eyes” on Toshiba EMI’s TM Factory label. He released two albums and six singles, writing the lyrics for all the songs. After ZNX disbanded, strongly encouraged by his manager at the time, he worked for a while as a lyricist and composer, handling numerous projects including “GET IT ROCK” (composition) for Masahiko Kondo and “CATCH THE WIND” (lyrics) for Gekisou Sentai Carranger, among many other works. However, he began to question the process of producing music for the major label scene and, in his mid-30s, decided to cease all activities within that scene.
In 2007 and 2008, he traveled to Europe and performed live in Belgium, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Romania, where his shows were well-received; this experience prompted him to reevaluate the focus of his future musical activities.

Outside of his musical activities, he has served as the host of “Senoken’s Deep Night” on FM Odawara since 2014, and also participates as a regular host on the station’s “Radio Bohemia” alongside Robert Harris and Hiromi Yuzuki.

No one would be any worse off without music.
